Our legally-defensible DNA paternity tests are accepted by California Superior Courts, including the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego County family courts. For these DNA tests, test participants are identified photographically, DNA samples are collected and processed under a strict chain-of-custody, and genetic analysis is performed by a fully certified, AABB-accredited laboratory. Because of the stringent sample identification and chain-of-custody procedures employed, all tested parties need not be present at the same time and place for their DNA sample collections. For clients who prefer or require special accommodations for greater privacy or convenience, we also provide after-hours, weekend, mobile and out-of-area service.
In my 15 years since joining Long Beach Genetics, I have supervised over 150,000 DNA paternity tests, testified as a DNA expert in over 50 California civil and criminal court trials, and provided Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) on DNA paternity and identification testing to over 50 private and public legal organizations throughout California.
